Choosing the Right Partner for FAA-Approved Aircraft Lighting Solutions
Aircraft lighting is far more than a technical component tucked beneath the fuselage or wingtip. It directly influences visibility, regulatory compliance, and overall flight safety. When upgrades or repairs become necessary, selecting the right partner for FAA-approved aircraft lighting solutions becomes a decision with operational and financial consequences. The expertise behind the product matters just as much as the certification itself.
What to Look for in a Trusted Lighting Solutions Provider
1. Proven FAA Credentials: Ensure the provider operates as an FAA-approved repair station and understands certification pathways, STCs, and compliance standards. This safeguards both airworthiness and documentation integrity.
2. Comprehensive Service Capabilities: A reliable partner should handle landing lights, taxi lights, anti-collision lights, position lights, and navigation systems, offering repair, overhaul, and modern LED upgrade options under one roof.
3. Legacy System Expertise: Many fleets still operate older lighting assemblies. Experience in restoring and overhauling legacy components reduces downtime and prevents unnecessary replacement costs.
4. Access to Industry-Leading Manufacturers: Partnerships with innovators such as Whelen Aerospace Technologies provide access to advanced LED solutions backed by decades of aerospace engineering excellence.
5. Military and Commercial Experience: Lighting requirements vary across sectors. A partner familiar with both military and commercial aircraft ensures adaptable, application-specific solutions.
6. Responsive A.O.G. Support: Time is critical when an aircraft is grounded. Around-the-clock assistance demonstrates operational commitment beyond standard business hours.
Choosing wisely means investing in reliability, compliance, and long-term performance, not simply replacing a part. For dependable FAA-approved aircraft lighting solutions, repair expertise, and global distribution support. Connect with NAASCO today!
Today's siren of the day is the VORTEX / WPS-4000 by WHELEN ENGINEERING
Ohhh jeez what a week huh? It's been forever. This week was equally chaotic and calm. I had to go to the hospital on Monday but still somehow I'm finally at peace. This fucking episode was a rough one but for now I'm semi okay. Yay?.. So onto tirade siren . It's been firstly produced in 1988 by WHELEN ENGINEERING and still gets sold today. Due to it being a speaker siren it's able to play unique signals

Today's siren of the day is the Whelen WPS-2805/TWS 295!
These weird looking stack on stack poles can be seen all across America but also in other countries such as Saudi Arabia, Denmark and Canada! (but also other countries). In 1991 the WPS-2800 series was introduced replacing the previous WPS-2700 series! Overall they're funny tall guys making sounds. Thank you for the request @lostredsilver!
