I go by many names. I am 21, an artist, analog horror creator and writer. I am disabled and autistic and regularly talk about my struggles coming with being disabled and dealing with chronic pain.

i need help. i'm a filipino lesbian with bipolar and adhd and i'm the breadwinner to a disabled household.

i'm getting laid off at work by the end of the month because i can't relocate, without any prospect yet. i don't think i'll be able to get the same salary.

quite honestly we have a lot of expenses for the month, but every dollar counts, since the conversion rate is high to philippine peso. any amount helps. my mother has a tumor close to her ear and needs to eat healthily.

priority expenses:

the thing about Peter Pan is that Neverland is like. a projection of the fascinations and expectations of a little English boy from the Edwardian era. I think it is fundamentally unsalvageable into a non-racist setting UNLESS☝️you lean into the horror of transformation and treat it like a kind of Area X in which human beings are terraformed by the subconscious will of a little white boy. like, hell, that happens to Wendy—Peter transforms her into a Mother, which is the only significant role he can really imagine for a girl in his world.

less seriously, I also think that a modern retelling or sequel should reflect that sensibilities have changed since Peter Pan was first written and little white boys’ imaginations aren’t really filled with shit like pirates and caricatures of Native Americans. Wendy’s great great great granddaughter goes to Neverland and it’s fucking. Minecraft blocks. instead of pirates the villain has been recast as Freddy Fazbear and the Lost Boys have to perform dentistry on Spider-Man. Scorpios Rex is there.
