hi! so as i’ve been refreshing my memory with when art talks, i’ve gone through the many documents of brainstorming and rough scenes i’ve managed to write. at one point, this was the opening paragraph for an old draft i started and i figured i’d share it here! so, here it is:
I am not alive. Sure, my brain still has billions of active neurons that tells my heart to keep beating, but I do not feel alive. I simply exist in a body that I struggle to acknowledge is mine. The body that gets the energy sucked out of it just by waking up in the morning. The body that floats and carries me from Point A to Point B because I cruise through life on autopilot. I am detached from myself, and therefore, out of touch with the world that spins around me.
i can’t believe i forgot about this little gem, but i’m happy i found it! for this to have been part of a rough draft, i find it pretty decent. i might be overthinking it, but i hope whoever reads this enjoys this little snippet :)

SUMMARY:

ELENA FORD is one year away from starting a new chapter in her life as a college student. She’s a go-getter that knows what she wants, and will find a way to make it happen. Ever since her parents have cut Noah off, she's made it her duty to sway their minds. She's had no success with it, and it bothers her a great deal. Ellie is used to getting her way— and in a timely manner— without having to suffer any consequences. Her persistence on the issue came with the cost of her relationship with her parents, which has left a strain that might never be repaired. Even though Noah has accepted the fact that he won't ever get his parents' support, Ellie continues her attempt to be the voice of reason for her brother and his future.

Another silence falls upon us, and I come to the conclusion that our silence isn't an indication of the end, but rather an ellipses. It's a momentary pause for us to gather our individual thoughts and feelings. A continuation of savoring the moment without forcing ourselves to speak when it doesn't feel natural. The silence catches all of our spoken and unspoken words when they fall and speaks for us until we are ready to talk again.

Aniyah roleplays on discord.
0/10. The only reason as to why she got discord in the first place was because of her friend, Jacqueline. She rarely uses it, the only times being when she's playing games with friends. So roleplaying is very much out of the picture.
Aniyah set a public school on fire and got away with it.
Also 0/10. Aniyah would definitely get caught before she could even set the fire since she'd spend too much time trying to convince herself to go through with it.
Aniyah has fallen asleep at their desk while working in the middle of the night.

So when she's zoned in, she'll keep working until she's finished, and use every last drop of energy she has to do so. NOAH
Noah has an intense fear of spiders.
0/10. His first pets were spiders. He insisted his parents get two because he was afraid that if he only got one, the spider would feel lonely. Although he grew out of his love for spiders, he doesn't freak out when he sees one.
Noah could easily survive The Hunger Games.
7/10. Noah is capable of handling himself and is level-headed, even during the most stressful situations. However, he does have a tendency to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. His recklessness would get him in serious situations with severe consequences if he doesn't play it out carefully.
