idk there’s a long post here i am so not bothering to write as to Why this is but personally i think it’s kind of important that the only two squid game winners we see are both miserable and broken as hell and still absolutely not living the life while gold masked billionares with no consciences are using living people painted like animals for furniture.
#squid game spoilers#i mean like obvs they're foils for each other so there is no way u could claim gi-hun is anywhere near as bad as the other#who was presumably in the same position as gi-hun#when he won#like the only motivator we've possibly been given for him was that casually mentioned kidney transplant#trying to pay a medical bill for a family member adds a parallel#but we see how he is years later by Not confronting the evil of it all#he just perpetuates it and aids it to continue#gi-hun decided he could not live with that and chose not to be like him#it's a radical choice and will likely only achieve#getting him shot#very soon after that ep ended but. he has to know that and did it anyway#also there are a number of clues mr i get a Cool mask is miserable but i am too lazy to list#tho i personally say anybody with interior decorating tastes like that Has to be in a bad place#jk jk
