MY TATTOO TEXT POST - green day piece

Hello ladies and gentlemen. So I said I would make a text post on my tattoo that I’m getting in just over a week’s time. My tattoo piece is going lower/mid back. This is Green Day’s heart grenade from American Idiot. The heart grenade has large outstretched angel wings. I wanted this tattoo since I was 13 and I first became obsessed with Green Day but it means more to me now than ever before. The idea of hearts with wings always intrigued me. I started drawing hearts with wings when I was 8 because my best friend at the time did it. I grew up drawing hearts with wings so that was kind of the basic idea. The green day element is super important. When I was 13, Green Day changed my entire life. I became a better person, entirely different to the person I used to be. If you’ve been following me for a while, you will know that I suffered badly with depression and self harm. Basically there was more than one occasion when I was planning to commit suicide and end it all. Green Day’s music saved me each time. Lyrics just got to me and instead of my cutting really badly or attempting suicide. I just sat there and cried instead. Without green day, I highly doubt I’d be alive. I physically can not express how much this band mean to me and I want that on my body forever. The wings are important to. They show the importance of freedom and growth. They also show Green Day to be important figures in my life, like angels are to most monotheistic religions. So there is the reason for this tattoo. The more I grow, the more it was means to me and the more of a story it develops.

So that is my green day tattoo text post! I’ll get my best friend to film some of it and take photos when I’m getting it done :)
