Sunny? Ride. Rainy? Ride.
I guess I don’t really have much of a choice since I don’t have a permanent spot to stay on the road. Embracing the suck is part of the adventure to me and builds resilience as a person.
Besides, the rain is temporary and if you ride far enough in Ireland, you’ll escape the rain to a patch of sun to dry off long enough for the next round of rain 😹 This makes it tolerable to me.
I’m trying to find the purrrfect balance of finishing up Ireland/ the UK and getting to the West side of Europe so that their temperatures die down. It was 116F/ 46.8C in Spain a few weeks ago. Rain might be miserable, but that heat is absolutely intolerable. The other thing I have to consider is finishing before the winter comes and temperatures DROP 🙀
It feels like I’m playing chess with Mother Nature ♟️ Just a little peek into my decision making and what I need to think about when living in the elements
Is there anything you’re musing over?
Let’s tackle this week y’all! 😼💪🏍️
