“Where Two and Two Always Makes a Five” I’ve been wanting to repaint this idea for a long time. The original, “Hail to the Thief (Oombrella)” was an important shift in my style back in 2006. I wanted another go at it but there’s something to it’s bold simplicity that I think really serves it. Then it hit me last week! “Why not paint it with a palette knife and a spoon!” So I quickly got to work. Palette knives and spoons can be a lot of fun but they can also be super frustrating. It’s a good exercise and I think if I repaint any old ideas (especially ones where I don’t have good images taken) I’ll go this route to give them their own unique texture. I’m selling this piece for $200 + shipping. It’s 16”x20”, let me know if you’re interested! #hailtothethief #wheretwoandtwoalwaysmakesafive #painting #redux #reproduction #paletteknifepainting #spoonart #paletteknife #spoon #colorful #colorist #surrealism #popart #autumnaltrees #thief #snakeoilsalesman #JacobWayneBryner #artJWB (at Fort Collins, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEu5MFhBdnp/?igshid=ao2kmid8z7nd
