y’all need to get it through your heads that there is nothing acultural and/or apolitical about languages themselves, nor about language learning. surprise, you do not live within the confines of your own mind and notebook. a process so inherently multi-faceted as linguistic communication is bound to have complex ties in regard to the speakers and the learners. do not divorce people from their words.
