Even though Ryanair is considered to be the cheapest low-cost airline in Europe, research made by our WhichAirline.com team shows that it is not always true. So which airline in Europe is the cheapest?

When it comes to the basic prices without any fees, Ryanair is the cheapest. However, when we add a transaction fee (payment processing fee) and fee for 20kg baggage, there are 3 cheaper airlines: Pegasus Airlines, Wizz Air and Blue Air. The details can be found at whichairline.com.

WhichAirline.com compared 30 airports in Europe, using the average ticket price per km as a way to compare the overall price levels. Long haul destinations were not taken into account. The research also covered prices for airport parking and airport transport.
