You‘ll never guess what just happened to me... I just got lost in a location I lived my entire life.
So today is my „dog day“ that’s basically the day of the week were I have to take care of our dog. And so I went to go our usual morning route but it was raining the entire time and I really just wanted to go home.
So as we passed a path through a little forest I remembered how my grandma told me once that in the past as she was younger you could take that path and arrive at another path that was right in front of our house but she also told me how you can’t take this path anymore. Because of the little forest I just assumed that it was just overgrown by bushes and trees and so on cause you could also see those things at the and of the path.
But as I passed that path I saw that someone cut the trees at the end and now you could see right through the forest so I thought why not try that path then I don’t have to walk that long anymore.
What I didn’t knew was that my grandma didn’t mean that the path was overgrown but she rether meant that nowadays between the two pathes in that forest and in front of our house now is a field.
But dump as I am I didn’t knew this and never thought of this to be possible so I was like „maybe the second path is just a bit further to the right.
Now I didn’t arrive at the path but at a little stream and this was where I realized that I didn’t have any clue were I was anymore.
On top of that my dog thought it was a good idea to go crazy now and jumped into the stream.
I tried surching for the path a little while longer till I gave up and thought „well let’s just follow the stream it will get me somewhere, I hope“. I knew that in the street where I live is also a little stream so I hoped that it was the same and luckily it was.
Long story short I wanted to take a shortcut and ended up arriving around 45 minutes later then if I had just gone the usual way. And now I have to clean up a dog that looks like this:
And believe me she looks even worse in real life.
