Do you know the Unknown Armies system? At least playerside it's pretty lightweight. It's not quite as bad as FATE with the freeform and runs on D100.

ah…no. and looking into it im not quite sure its my cup of tea. seems a little too much on the horror and trauma side for me. that and like i’ve never heard of this system yet the “core” books are in the $30-$40 range and there are 5 of them.

naruto ain’t book smart. he’s someone who’s got trouble learning things from blackboards and books, without the knowledge about the why and the how. probably the kinda kid who, for a while and until it was beaten and yelled out of him, kept asking why and how.you can’t teach naruto in a classroom. (which my adhd butt finds intensely relatable). he learns by facing a problem, and figuring out a solution to said problem. it’s ass-backwards, reinvents the wheel a couple times probably, but is also something he can then access without having to take the damn verbalized thinking detour, and ends up incredibly versatile at some point.if you describe a situation and then expect naruto to tell you what he’d do, he’d probably stare at you blankly. but actually put him in the situation and he’s gonna deal with it.

Can I join the ace fam neighbourhood as well? Degree in Lib Sci, some coding knowledge, artist, can fix quite a few broken things/ripped clothing, get stains out of almost everything, and can provide cooked and baked stuff and lessons in doing all of that. Someone else needs to tend to the gardens though, I've got a black thumb.
