About: Whimsy

Whimsy will be an experimental game.  I know nothing about programming, nothing about creating games.  It's being made with Phaser Framework, which utilizes a mixture of Javascript and HTML5.

What's the game about? 

Your character recently moved to Whimsyville upon hearing that a shop in town was giving away free, mysterious eggs to new residents.  You get a farm, an egg that hatches into a creature and you decide where it goes from there.

What's Whimsy's genre?

Casual gameplay is really emphasized. 

It will be a click/point 2D interactive game.

It's pretty free-form.  It's meant to be played however you want to play it.  With that said, Whimsy features pet raising, farming, relationships, exploration and collecting elements.  There will be an overarching storyline, but it's also going to be employed as an OPTIONAL feature; play it if you want to, ignore it if you don't feel like doing it.

What kinds of features will Whimsy have?

Choose to play as a boy or girl avatar.

Romance males, females, both, or no one, regardless of player's chosen gender.

Raise, feed, pet, bathe, befriend & play games with unique creatures.

Evolve your pets through Reincarnation, which gives them special features and assets.

Grow, water & tend fruits, vegetables and flowers!

Sell or keep your farming produce for your own use.

Go on adventures in the Caves & Forest for crafting materials and exp.

Practice fishing in the ocean or stream.

Collect stickers (achievements) for completing tasks!

Dress up your pets in a variety of clothes and accessories.

Dress up your avatar the way you like!

Marry a villager and have the wedding of your dreams~

Breed your pets to make new colors and variations.

Cook and bake your own treats for pets!

Use Gears (currency) to purchase more pets, more land, accessories, clothing and more!
