I am not the best with plenty of things. Goodbyes are among the many situations in which my anti-attributes are displayed with no cloak of invisibility. Not that I am bad at leaving, or even a dick when leaving, I just have a hard time thinking I'm never going to see someone again - as big as the world is I feel connected to people in some way or another (like through the internet or something...) - I think this is why I could trick myself into spending so much time away from my daughter was alright.
And look at me now, leaving back to her with 100 people to call my friend and scheme with.
I was not always able to show up somewhere and mesh with hundreds of people on any given day, and developing meaningful relationships used to feel burdensome and very unattractive. Getting close to people and caring for individuals as individuals is something I find myself doing more as I grow away from the small bunker from which I hale. The people I have come to grow with are a primo-bunch of rambunctious adventures, intrigued by the existence of like minded, stern, charismatic people.
Exploring one another is one of my most fond memories and I will cherish it s'long as I am still me.
