Gigi Midgley for Peony swimwear
Just because I was curious: The peony is a flowering plant in the genus Paeonia. The flowers have a short blooming season, usually only 7–10 days in late spring/early summer and have a sweet intensive scent.
Etymology: The peony is named after Paeon (also spelled Paean), a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. In Greek mythology, when Asclepius became jealous of his pupil, Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.
No, certainly no connection to mythology.
