1) That’s weird, I sent it twice! Hope this works: I’m still going “Hmmm... hmmm” over what the white spiders could possibly symbolize. However, since it repeats “side effects,” I think the song as a whole is about experiencing hallucinations as a result of medication. Or maybe I’m projecting. I’ve had bad albeit hallucination free reactions to meds before.

Yesss, I got it finally lol looks like tumblr's glitching again. You're right! I was getting into vape pens around the time I wrote this song, and I'm also 420 friendly. It helps alleviate my anxiety/depression. I was browsing beats on youtube while I was smoking, and fell in love with the one that's now the baseline for White Spiders. I was watching the white tendrils of the smoke in the air and they reminded me of spider legs (spiders freak me out but eh 🤷🏿‍♀️). So that's what the "white spiders" are. And ya, the side effects are referring to when I've had bad trips before. Hasn't happened too often.

The song as a whole is honestly about the toxic relationship I have with my parents. It's basically me describing myself smoking one afternoon and wondering if my parents actually want what's best for me, or if they really just want me to do what benefits them.

2) I’m probably butchering the musical terms, but I like the rhythm/beat (I don’t know the difference between the two) of the song. Somehow, the instrumentals give me a futuristic vibe without sounding robotic. When hearing the song’s opening for the first time, I imagined going through a dark tunnel lit up by glowing white arcs that kind of resembled rib bones. It was like traveling through an X-Ray. This might sound morbid, but it actually looked fascinating

3) I might have mild synesthesia, since sometimes I associate color with certain sounds. When I heard the opening instrumentals for “Brain Fart,” I saw a Twilight Zone-esque black and white scheme, which is why I asked if you got that recording from a TV show. I know I said the opening of “white spiders” looks black and white, but somehow I associate the song as a whole with gray-tinged white and light-medium purple (wish I could name the shade). I don’t know what kind of song review this is
