October 15, 2022 - White-winged Robin (Peneothello sigillata) These Australasian robins are found in mountain forests of New Guinea. Often hunting from vertical perches on mossy tree trunks near the ground, they eat insects, as well as some fruits and seeds. They build bulky cup-shaped nests in forked branches from green moss, rootlets, ferns, and thin stems where females lay clutches of one or sometimes two eggs.
