My happy hallway 🤍🌿🤎🌾🖤 Swipe for before >>> afters. I know hallways can be tricky and mine was no different. It’s been through many changes in the short time we’ve lived in our new old house. The front door was originally stained mahogany, and I tried painting it four different @lick colours. 😆 it’s been green, beige, off black and we finally settled on the deepest darkest black. The staircase was also stained mahogany and after trying painting it white I much preferred the subtle difference of a darker beige neutral on the woodwork to contrast the white walls. You’ll see in the photographs a glimpse of my attempt to go off black on the lower walls and front door and even though it looked quite stylish it just wasn’t me. So the end result is a makeover of a makeover 🙈😂 Thank you @lick for patiently and generously sponsoring my adventures in paint. 🎨 I guess I’m treating this house like an artists canvas and feeling my way forward. That’s what a slow grown home is really about for me. ✨ /// Final colours used: Walls: @lick #white01 matte Woodwork: #beige03 eggshell Front door: #black 02 matte #lickhome #lick Gifted /// I’ve still got a lot of finishing to do, the rest of the staircase to think about and I’m hoping to rip out the old lino and restore the floors, but we don’t have any budget for these jobs so just doing it all slowly and diy 💪🏼 https://www.instagram.com/p/CYmHGWmMYgR/?utm_medium=tumblr
