[2026-04-23] The sun was out, but windy and cold first thing. Parked at the Grouse Inn and walked to White Edge Lodge, then up to the height. Walked along the top to White Edge. Found the true summit (according to the OS), then onto the Trig Point. Now onto Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt Edges. It was busy, given it is midweek, but I guess the weather brought people out.
[2025-09-29] Over the moors north from White Edge trig point. A great autumn day. Walk from the Grouse Inn over White Edge and return via Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt Edges.
[2025-06-23] Not a great day, more like autumn than early summer. But a great walk over 4 edges. Started over Froggatt Edge, then onto Curbar and Baslow before the climb up to White Edge. Underfoot the paths were dry, despite the recent rain. Must be the effect of the drying wind. A great walk, maybe my favourite in the Peak District.
[2025-05-08] White Edge sits above Froggatt and Curbar Edges. Walked from the road junction at the north and then up onto the edge and walked along the top to the White Edge trig point. The great advantage of White Edge is the panorama. Sadly not a blue sky day but still great views. A great afternoon walk on the eastern edges of the Peak District.
(2024-06-20) Looking north along Curbar Edge. A lovely walk in the sunshine. From White Edge to Curbar Gap then along Curbar Edge, Froggatt Edge and finally through part of Longshaw. Nice to see the sun.
