White Of The Eye (1987) When a serial killer is on the loose in Globe, Arizona. Joan stars to cotton on to some odd happenings and suspicions with her husband Paul. When she starts investigating, she finds that there might be more to her husband than she originally knew. This tale of a marriage gone awry is an odd affair. At times it’s beautiful and displays some grand imagery. From the start, there’s a gorgeous setting and It set a high standard from the off. It does manage to pull off a couple more of these throughout, but it doesn’t quite live up to how good I thought it was going to be after it’s grand opening. When they do, they’re great, and there’s some vivid and shocking scenes, but they don’t come around very often, and are contained within a heavily dialogue laden film that becomes quite confusing at times. One of the best things about this film is it’s soundtrack. It’s excellent eclectic score is co-written by none other than Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason. It’s a startling success of some great 80’s music and some sumptuous backing music that is a delight to listen to and stands out more than the film itself at times! It’s a good film, it’s a long winded affair and could have done with being a bit shorter and a bit more concise which would have helped it dramatically, but it’s actually quite enjoyable in the end. It’s ending is good and the film contains some good little twists, but some of the film is predictable and will have you with some questions that you may or may not feel get answered. Between the unanswered questions and drawn out areas it can become a bit tiresome. The acting can’t be faulted, and both leads (David Keith & Cathy Moriarty) play their roles brilliantly, their performances are convincing and Keith in particular has some striking scenes with some memorable imagery! Presented in a 2K rescan from the original negative, the film looked beautiful and is expertly released from @arrowvideo. Overall, White of the Eye is an interesting journey through film. It’s a rollercoaster of good and bad, but a rollercoaster worth watching to see what you think! #WhiteOfTheEye #WhiteOfTheEyeMovie #WhiteOfTheEyeReview #Omareviews #ArrowVideo https://www.instagram.com/p/B8js2C6lkp1/?igshid=bmauoiqkstha
