So far, college was going just fine. Aside from the random roommate, anyway. No matter how many times Elena told Caroline that they couldn't find a way to force her out, she did feel like that spot was supposed to be for Bonnie when she came back... whenever that would be. She had to have the human college experience. As she spoke to Damon on the phone, she wasn't sure if she was trying to convince him or herself more that this was just the way it had to be.
"You get it, right? Bonnie hasn't been back since graduation so it's not like Whitmore could just not put someone there." She didn't hear what he said next. Did she just see... She totally just saw... but what was Stefan doing here? He'd been gone all summer. He could have called. She would have confronted him, except he suddenly turned away. "Call you back," she told Damon and then hung up the phone. She would just walk over to him. At an annoyingly human pace because there were so many eyes on campus.
