someone said that Whitney said that Ella is their last baby; I’m not doubting it, I’m just curious if anyone can point me to where she said that? I think it’s good that they are quitting while they are ahead of any major pregnancy health complications, and that they are being reasonable (well, for a bates) about a family size where the kids can get some actual parenting and attention.
I would be curious also to see a timeline of how the Bates kids have been spacing out their own families compared to Gil and Kelly’s speed run of 19 (live birth) pregnancies in what, 25 years? Thankfully none of them have been attempting it so far. I wonder how Gil and Kelly feel about the kids announcing they’re using birth control instead of even using it privately and saying “it’s up to god” if they have more. I’m glad they feel comfortable to do that given how their parents really drilled into them that you should accept as many kids as you can physically have.
Sorry, I can't help you with that. I don't know either when and where she said that. And I'm a little bit doupting it. If I remember correctly she already said before Ella that she felt her family was big enough. And that felt a lot more genuine then Alyssa. So I was a bit surprised when she announced another pregnancy. I hope they stay with their current six. They can manage that like you said. And it's certainly nice to see several Bates children choosing different from their parents while mainting their relation with their parents.
I already did a post comparing Gil to his sons (in law) and one comparing Kelly Jo to her daughters (in law). I understand that you want more comparing related to spacings. I will look into that.
