Well, one for the road! We're headed to Columbus, Ohio tomorrow morning and then Kutztown, Pennsylvania for a holiday pop-up market with @tkowkat at #ThePublishingHouseCo! We wanted to share our most recent interview with Allie Kushnir, a incredible Chicago-based visual artist. The facts: West Heritage was founded in May 2014 by photographer, designer + craftswoman @codiannthomsen. Why? Because she had a strong desire to connect and support the creative community and artists who are trying to pave their way. We have six team members. Three who are contributing writers to the #WHJournal: Kristyn, Nicole and Lauren. And three who help contribute to our blog on Tumblr: Lindsay, Monique and Kelsey. Codi Ann handles other social media (👋🏼), marketing, photography, keeping the website nice and tidy, product and distribution. She also is the co-designer of our West Heritage exclusive collaborations. Our focus? The artist. The small business. The jewelry maker, the painter, the craftsmen/women. Up to 70% of every sale goes straight to them. We aim to be a platform where small businesses can get noticed, where we can lend our hands. Tomorrow is Small Business Saturday. Our very second. And we'll be releasing our full story onto our Journal featuring answering many of the questions we've received and highlighting some of our favorite, most fun moments of this past year as a small business.
