Whole class feedback
When I was teaching GCSE MFL, I found the most effective way of feedback/ improvement was to do a read through of the class's work and note regular errors and 'nice bits'. The start of the next lesson was spent explaining the regular errors to the group - with those who got it right often chipping in with ideas for helping the strugglers- and the nice bits being shared for others to emulate. They seemed to absorb it far better than the 'read my comments and promptly ignore' scenario.
