I just realized that Clara is portrayed as a hybrid when we first meet her and also when we last see her. And both of her hybrid selfs are built by her own strength and will power.

Oswin Oswald is a Dalek/human hybrid. She fights against the Dalek prerogative first with so completely denial about what happened to her that she actually forgets her trauma. And then, later, after realizing and accepting the truth, Oswin fights it just to prove her point that she is indeed human, saving the Doctor and his friends from the Asylum while blowing the whole thing up. She is Dalek on the outside/body, and human on the inside/mind.

Post-Raven, time-locked and frozen Clara is a Time Lord/human hybrid. Yep, yep, I know, being time-locked doesn't transform her per se in a Time Lord, obviously (she can't regenerate, she doesn't have two hearts, yadda yadda). But on the practical sense, yes, it does. She is human on the outside/body, and Time Lord on the inside/mind. How? Because she spent the last years of her life learning how to think and act and make decisions and lie and love like a Time Lord. Doctor Clara much? She entered a Time Lord time stream, split herself on millions of pieces and survived, making her soul forever imprinted with time energy. She learnt how to speak to and how to drive a Tardis (and stole one for herself). And I am sure, that as long as she kept travelling through time and space with her own Tardis, she would eventually be able to see and hear time like the Time Lords do. After all, Time Lords are made and not born, right? Everything that they learn at the Academy, Clara learned by experience - first with The Doctor, and later, by herself, with her Tardis.

Three great warrior races - human, Dalek and Time Lord - mangled together, on two different moments, by a stubborn control-freak woman who decides who she is going to be and refuses to be anything less than her incredible and untamed self.

And, of course, she also manages to be half of The Hybrid from the Gallifreyan prophecy - pairing with the Doctor after destroying time and space just to be together.

Remarkable, to say the least.

Totally all over writing a (probably slightly smutty because I’m trash) Whouffaldi fanfic in which the Doctor holds off his regeneration just a teeny bit longer to hunt down Clara before he changes and give us all the final reunion we actually needed.
