He has what is a fairly small part in the overall scheme of things, even though it is the romantic lover part, which everyone seems to enjoy, even though, personally I forget about it.

They're gifs from Glorious 39, where he starred with David Tennant. So it's a gifset of all the scenes they're in together. The movie I'm watching is "Black Death". Which so far is pretty awful. He plays a monk who talks quite a lot like Balem Abrasax, though, so it's worth it. And Sean Bean is his costar.
