Why does every device in Australian schools have spell check that tells you your correctly-spelt words are wrong because they aren't spelt the american way?

WHY ARE ESSAY A THING IN SCHOOLS?!?!?!?
WHY DO STUDENTS HAVE TO WRITE ESSAY????? FOR COLLEGE THAT SOME KIDS MIGHT NOT GO TO BECAUSE OF MONEY PROBLEMS! I HATE ESSAY THEIR TOO MUCH WORK AND PUT A LOT OF STRESS ON ME!
so i google search why do students have to write essays and an article came up and said that home schooled kids don’t have to write essays til like 14 or 15!! and IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL (or for me) I STARTED WRITING ESSAYS IN LIKE 2ND GRADE!!!! I want home schooled so i don’t have to write essay so i can focus on what i really need in life learning how to SPELL CORRECTLY AND WHERE TO PUT PUNCTUATION, AND PROPER GRAMMAR BECAUSE I don’t know proper grammar :(.
(i wrote like over 10-15 words wrong and my computer had to fix them.)
