Why Weed.....? #2
because it’s creating jobs, funding local community programs, and (in the case of Colorado) even giving extra funds to the state for other uses.
My current thoughts on the legalization of cannabis have a lot to do with the governments lack of funds in infrastructure. Why? Simple, both are sector that can positively impact a community, providing job and the security of knowing those job can’t be shipped overseas, or even to another state. It’s jobs that create revenue locally, that will be spent locally and taxed locally, with that money also being pumped back into the community.
The difference between the two...., Infrastructure is government run and requires government funds to get started (don’t ask where your current tax money goes), which is why it keeps getting pushed aside or phased into small project which are (usually) in turn, sub-contracted to prisons for cheap labor. Whereas, cannabis legalization, can be funded privately (as it is mostly everywhere). Personally, I say legalize, and use the tax money to kick-start infrastructure projects......, but that just too logical for some.
