The Duke & The Cute One

Separated by opposing views on Rock N’ Roll music being an advocacy to devil worship and cult fascination, it did nothing more than help flourish the streets of London with all things rebellious for teens and young adults that found themselves excluded from society. Society ran by the ‘squares’ as these youngins would call them; proper, preppy and lives off mummy and daddy’s pocket change. Private school students who wore their collars flat, slacks pressed, and a new cardigan day in day out. The same can be said about a young Brixton boy named David Robert Jones, though that only applies when he’s indoors.

Young Dave had found his calling outside the school walls of academe and art. He isn't exactly failing nor is he passing either; with enough desire to keep himself from being expelled and suffering the wrath of parental intervention, David kept to a tolerable schedule and an efficient scheme on when and whose class to cut off and head on towards mishaps and adventures.

Lunchtime and the cafeteria is packed with students with their cliques left and right, teachers who can’t be bothered, a mix of smiles and agitated huffs from the lunch ladies, and the cleaners who are always complaining for the right reasons. The perfect setting for a quick getaway with everyone either stuffing themselves or minding their own damn businesses.

The classroom was empty with just David and his bag slung over his shoulder. Glass stained with damp hand prints of experience and the paint cracked from sliding off and onto the makeshift rope of belts owned by numerous students; some newly tied to replace nipped leather ones, some sturdy ropes from wherever they were found by students who were as adamant as David to find their way out into the world.

 It would've been an easy hop and slide for David hadn't the slight of his bag caught itself onto the knob of the window. Ergo, there he was in an awkward position with half his torso off the pain, shoulders hitched a little higher as he desperately try to swat the strap off to set him free.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: i feel like the more i read about paul , the more i want to crush his peanuts , but also give him a hug idk . i think he’s an incredibly talented musician & i love the fact that he still wants to create music & how well he adapts to new musical environments . it’s really admirable . he’s got a lot of flaws too , & a lot of problematic stuff that isn’t often mentioned ‘cause he’s supposed to be the ‘cute’ beatle . but i do acknowledge & admire some of the things he says .  

How they play them: i think it’s alright – there’s a lot of more aspects if paul that i want her to cover , that she needs to work on . takes for-fuckin-ever for replies tbh lmao . i think she needs to work on using better diction & expanding descriptions & painting a whole picture & focusing on the little details – you know what i mean ? feels like paul’s either too nice , or kind of a dick that doesn’t do much but throw empty threats . it needs a lot of work to be a little more cohesive . hopefully , she’ll learn to improve her writing & all that sort of stuff . i can believe it lmao . this feels so weird

The Mun: she’s pretty alright ? i think that maybe her slow replies can come off as disinterest , though she doesn’t intend it . an actual nerd that talks about music all day . boring , no ?
