More Questions?
(( Okay, gonna try this again since tumblr ate my post yesterday night when it crashed and was still fresh on my mind. From now on, creating every single post in word before it gets copy/pasted here. ))
Donavin opened the trunk and dove his hand down inside. It smelled of memories; solvents from his gem work, the stain from the wood and even a little oil from Dar’s experiments in the house. It smelled like Dalaran. He kept various things in it that were precious to him, carrying it around from place to place when he could. His fingers wriggled past material and little satchels until he found the soft fur.
Carefully, he pulled out the robe that his Dad had made for him when he was training in Icecrown, close to home with the Crusade. He almost lovingly draped it on the bed, letting his fingers caress over the smooth material lined with a soft bear coat that kept him warm. He checked for little thread pulls and clips, making sure nothing would catch him unaware. He would need it in Storm Peaks; once you picked up a chill there it was too hard to shake it.
They needed more answers and Lady Whynn had craftily suggested that she go with him when he told her not to tell his parents. She offered to bring Tuyok and Galyan, knowing that if she were with him she would feel better about the venture. They might find more answers in the Temple of Wisdom where Loken once sat atop his throne to watch over the silent halls of Ulduar. Would they find what they needed? Would there be more questions? Donavin couldn’t be certain. But perhaps it would settle his nerves and make him less agitated.
Satisfied that the robe was in one piece, he hung it on the back of the door where no one would see it and become suspicious. He would need boots and more warming stones. And he needed to find his girlfriend so he could tell her exactly what his intentions were. Once they learned either way of her condition, he would set out on this trek for a couple of days. But he would not leave her before then.
