Like I know this sounds like bullshit, but there was a fic very much like it that was popular on ff.net back in ‘09-’10 and I’ve tried a few times to go back and find it to compare the two -- but it’s not online anymore, and I don’t remember the title well enough to try to Wayback Machine it. It's just really really funny, if you like that sort of californication-style humour including sex and drugs etc (though it is more toned down and very different from Cali). It's clearly unrealistic but it's the sort of hyper-reality that feels right and lets you suspend your disbelief for a half hour comedy series. And Kate Walsh is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally good.
