My most beautiful, most loyal, most hardworking, most resilient Lucy. I love you so so so so much. Words fail me as I try to wrangle them into diamond necklaces, pearl bracelets, gold-dripping tiaras I can put on your head to shower you with all the wealth and love that you deserve. Have these candy-heart rings instead: There has never been a moment where I went to you for advice, for help, for anything and you have failed me. Despite being busy as an incredible mother, working to provide for yourself and for Tegan, you’ve never sacrificed our friendship, you’ve never shut me out, you’ve never failed to make me feel important to you. And that’s important because there will always be a voice in my head that will try so hard to make me feel less than worthy of your attention, but every time it tries to speak up, I’ve shut it down because I know I can depend on you. I know you’re ride or die, and I hope you know, I too, would kill a man for you.  One day you’re going to get everything you want in life. It’s already happening, your happily ever after. You’re such an inspiration to me, and such an inspiration to Tegan too, probably. I’m just so lucky to be your friend and I wish I said that more, but I know you know I know it’s true. 

And okay, i totally had to Facebook stalk you a little, but remember this, always: "Shine as brightly as the light you were created to be." Because you are, and always will be The Sun. And sure, I might hate the sun bc Summer sucks, but you get what I mean. You’re radiant and you’re brilliant and I would miss you, I would miss you so very much if you were gone. 

Anyways, I’ve rambled a lot, but I just hope you’re having an amazing birthday and everyone is treating you like the QUEEN that you are. You’re a breathtaking woman, Lucy <3 never forget that.
