the dream that inspired @wicksend came to me 3 years ago today! 🕯🖤here's to many more years of tormenting Glen to come <3

although the story is about my experience with burnout, these past few years, i've found myself having to learn similar life-lessons over and over. we're all tired, thoroughly busy, and trudging through our own insecurities.

i feel like over these past few years especially -- with glen to put as the face of 'someone whose burnt out, but still valuable as an individual' -- this has helped me go through each phase with increased understand, patience, and self-love.

that said, although most of my activity with story + blog asks belonged to the 1st year, i have every intention for this story to be told in its planned 10-chapter entirety. whether or not that takes a few years, it will be done in a way that is balanced -- not to my detriment.

without you, dear readers, this would have remained a simple, scribbled pilot. i appreciate all of your reblogs, comments, tags, fanart, etc; they help motivate me when i have moments of doubt. thank you all for you support, enthusiasm, and patience.

so i tried really, really hard ...

but i could not finish the chapter 1 redo in time for @wicksend 's 2nd anniversary. i pulled an all-nighter to try to get it done (nobody asked for this) but even after working all day today, I still fell short. i'm exhausted and -- (cue image)

-- am supposed to be writing this story to encourage positive creative working habits ...

i will try to have this to you folks within the next few days. it's nearly done! if i pulled another all-nighter i could totally do it, but right now? i am spent.

i recognize nobody asked / cares for this as much as i do, and the product will always fall short of my vision, but i am very passionate about this story !! i want to be proud to share it with others, and as it stands, the pilot does not enable me to do that. i think it was the right call to go back and tweak things that didn't end up aligning with the story direction i pursued instead of just pushing forward.

thank you for being patient for new content. goodness do i wish i got paid so i could make it for you faster.
