Natasha was so adamant that Steve ask Sharon (”the nurse across the hall”) out, because she knew Sharon was his type and she really wanted to get Steve out of his “boo hoo, I’ll never fit it; I’ll never find love” funk. 

She was like, “This manpain is getting annoying. I’m going to call Sharon.” 

And Sharon was like, “Ok, will do.” 

So the Steve/Sharon kiss is a WHOLE WORLD OF POSSIBILITY OPENING UP TO HIM. 

Holy crap, he can live life again. Be a civilian. Kiss girls. Not kiss girls (Bucky? Sam? Whatever you’re into). he can do whatever he wants. 

And then once he’s realized this, Nat gives Sharon a high five and the two of them go off to beat up terrorists together.

I don’t mind Staron being in CACW. But I’m also really, really sad we never go to see her really interact with Natasha. They fought Bucky together, which implies they had some familiarity with each other’s abilities at the very least (or had done similar missions before at the most). 

And we only go one line between Sam and Sharon, who are really his main support system. I wanted them all to interact more. Especially with Steve in such a tricky, emotional place. (Not just with Bucky being back but fighting with his friends.)

WHERE THEY WENT | While the boys fight each other, two former SHIELD agents head to DC to dig up dirt on Secretary of State Ross. Natasha Romanoff and Sharon Carter are never doing this again.
