Officially introducing Widowtale! In this universe, Sans and Papyrus are spider skeletons, don't ask me how it works since spiders have exoskeletons and not actual bones. This Sans' name is Thrix, inspired by a tarantula genus Thrixoplema. Papyrus is called Thread by Thrix, because Papyrus is practically the only thing holding Thrix's sanity together.
Thrix is the older of the two, but is still smaller at only 26 feet tall. He is deliberate, serene, and almost scarily gentle. Everything he does is calculated, but it never feels really cruel. His voice is rarely ever raised, he's usually silent unless spoken directly to. He's a strategist, an observer, he himself is intricate, patient, and he waits for the right vibrations of his web before he acts.
Thrix has a few abilities. He can ensnare souls with a crimson silk magic, marking the soul itself with a web pattern that ties them to his will for a time. His venom is Neurotoxic and Myotoxic, a precise and paralyzing poison delivered through his permanently exposed fangs. It will numb, still, and end a fight before you realize it even began. When he fights, he puts a translucent web along the floor, he knows where his enemy is from the vibrations. Thrix's very presence can quiet the nerves of allies or lull foes into slow, drowsy vulnerability.
Thrix represents control, the desire to preserve harmony even at the cost of freedom. His silk binds others, but rarely ever in hate. He uses his venom sparingly, preferring to end battles with stillness rather than violence.
Quote: "Don't fight the silk, it holds better than faith."
Despite being the younger brother, Thread is larger at 30 feet tall. He is protective, steady, unyielding, more talkative than his brother, although his voice is a lot more pleasant, slow, calm, and certain. Thread is the steadfast guardian who ensures nothing breaks their home or Thrix's fragile peace. To those who don't know him well, he seems stoic, intimidating, unappealing. But to Thrix, Thread is warmth, grounding, safety, he's the role of foundation, who keeps Thrix's sanity and their home from snapping under strain.
Thread's venom is Cytotoxic and Myotoxic, it will melt through armor, flesh, and even magic itself. He's a websmith, spinning massive physical webs capable of supporting structures and restraining even Titanic foes. Thread has this one other ability, one that heals rather than hurts, he can use his own venom to somehow cauterize webs or purge infection.
Thread represents strength, not of aggression, but of endurance. His magic is decay, yet from that decay comes renewal. He ensures that what is destroyed feeds the web anew. Thrix controls the living, Thread tends to the remains.
Quote: "Don't mistake stillness for mercy, friend. The web is always hungry."
