Hi! I love all your works and just had a silly headcanon come into my head. So when Yandere Vader gets into a minor argument with you, he goes around and makes it so you need his help for very minor things. He’s tightening jars, putting your snacks a tad too high for you, and just making a bunch of tiny inconveniences. I also headcanon he is the type to make things for you. (He makes a MEAN bookshelf I tell you what.)

I hope you’re doing well and get plenty of water, sleep and love!
Yandere! Darth Vader putting stuff too high for you to reach headcannons
Warning: Emotional manipulation, gaslighting, isolation, unhealthy relationship dynamics, yandere/obsessive behavior, implied captivity, power imbalance, stalking, dubious consent, dependency, self-doubt
RAAAAH DADDY VADER- SORRY THAT I KEPT YA'LL AWAY FROM OUR MAN
It's an immature tactic for someone like Darth Vader to be creating minor inconveniences after arguments just to make you need his help with jars placed too high, snacks just out of reach, and other tiny obstacles he engineers.
There's a hint of smugness that comes from the lingering pieces of Anakin's personality, because that playful side of him would absolutely do this just to tease you, though Vader's version has a darker purpose.
Vader employs these tactics to make a point after arguments, especially when you're thinking you can manage on your own in this galaxy because really, how can you convince him of your independence when you're struggling to open a jar he tightened?
He uses these moments against you, feeding you carefully crafted words: "You're simply weak without me. You can't protect yourself from those rotten rebels, so how will you manage without me?" Words that feel like lies but to him are merely facts.
It's pathetic to see you struggle without him, but maker does it make his charred heart race faster, watching you need him, depend on him, turn to him even when you don't want to.
What if you start believing him? His words? Maybe you are too weak to escape him? Yet to Vader they aren't lies but harsh truths. He deceives but is also a man of the brutal reality he creates around you.
"You trouble yourself far too much with these efforts. It is inefficient." He'd say, his way of saying "Leave it all to me" without showing the desperation beneath his control.
His worst nightmare is having you end up hurt by your own stubbornness. He's a man defined by loss, and the few things he has are precious, especially you, whom he can't imagine getting seriously hurt.
He's already experienced you falling plenty of times, not wanting to admit you needed his help to get your drink, amusing him that you'd rather struggle than ask for help, but needing him feels like defeat, proving the point he always tries to make: you can't function without him.
And maybe you do? You've been forced by his side for so long, how can you not start to doubt yourself when every day reinforces his narrative of your dependence?
Anakin always enjoyed crafting things, he was a self-taught mechanic, repairing everything back on Tatooine, and throughout his adulthood, he always enjoyed tinkering things together.
It's not surprising that Darth Vader kept this interest going, in canon, we know he customized his own TIE fighter mostly himself, adding countless modifications to suit his needs.
Yet Vader isn't the type to craft something for his darling to gain affection, he doesn't really do gifts, so anything he makes must work in his own very favor, serving his purpose while appearing to be for you.
