Why can't we just all stop being mean to each other because of who we want to be. I mean, it's still no good if someone is abusive to a transgender person but the transgender person automatically hates all straight people.
You…. don’t even know what you’re talking about.
Where does hating straight people come into being trans? Trans people can be straight.
I just. I don’t know where to begin with this ask, because it’s such a trainwreck, honestly.
First of all, realistically, we don’t hate cishet people for being cishet. We hate what they represent, we hate their privilege, we hate their bigotry and refusal to listen to us, which, by the way, is what you’re displaying now. I love my mother, and my friends. Most of them are cishet, or at the very least, cis.
But I hate transphobia. I hate binarism. I hate transphobes and I hate the transphobia that is so ingrained into our society and minds that we’ve internalised it. I hate the not-so-hidden messages our media sends, I hate the marginalisation I must combat with everyday.
That’s what I hate. But by saying some, or being specific or whatever, it allows cis people who are transphobic to excuse themselves because “ohh, well, I’m not that bad”.
All cis people are transphobic. All of ‘em. But some cis people work harder than others to erase their internalised transphobia and transmisogyny. @kuroba101 is a good example.
