Women In Horror Month
Hey, so February is Women in Horror Month, a time to celebrate women in the horror industry. I’ve decided that for this month I’m going to try to watch one horror movie a day directed by a woman that I have never seen before. Today I started with this:
Always Shine
Best friends Anna and Beth take a weekend trip to Big Sur, hopeful to re-establish a bond broken by years of competition and jealousy.
Directed by Sophia Takal and starring Mackenzie Davis. Available on Amazon Prime.
This was interesting. Not horror in the traditional sense. Kind of more of a thriller with some horror shadings. I had a very different interpretation of the ending than reviewers did so if you watch it let me know so we can discuss. I’d love to know what other people think.
