When the Wii U or the Wii 2 as it was know as back then was leaked/announced I will admit I was excited. Finally Nintendo was going HD, I could finally hold a controller in my hands like I did with the Gamecube and play. I expected that they would use the Gamecube controller or something like it,I was ecstatic. Then they showed it at E3 and I saw the controller. I was ready to kill it was huge,I don't want a controller that is almost as big as my head. A touch screen why would I need that on a home console? Now at this point,I had lost some of the excitement that I had for the Wii U but after the report from an anonymous developer saying the Wii U power isn't up to par with the Xbox 360 and PS3 I was crushed. Nintendos response to this was "We do not focus on technology specs, We understand that people like to dissect graphics and processing power, but the experience of playing will always be more important than raw numbers.". Now I still do have hope somehow I just can't let go.I'm holding on to the many good things said about the Wii U and I hope it dosen't disappoint me.
