How would other characters (in or out of deltarune) handle being controlled by the soul?

As for the question: Oh man. Hmmmmm. I can safely say that for most of them, regardless of whether it's Deltarune, Undertale, or any one of the many fandoms I share, the answer would likely be "badly." The two main exceptions that come to mind are from that game, though, so here's my thoughts on how the other two Fun Gang members would react:

Ralsei. He would likely completely surrender to the SOUL, no matter what route the SOUL chooses, because not only is it part of what he's destined to do (in his view), but his self-esteem is so low, he would be like, "honestly, it's probably better that someone else is at the wheel." Cue concerning Ralsei moments again.

A positive SOUL relationship would give Ralsei what amounts to a collaboration, akin to how Eddie and Venom are after they figure out their deal in the first Venom movie.

That being said. I do think that if the SOUL is actively harming others, he would become not just distraught, but likely consider removing himself from the equation (if you get my drift) to lessen the hurt it could cause others.

I think Susie would fight back viciously, only to befriend the SOUL (if the SOUL is pacifistic). If not, she would probably also be tearing it out of herself as much as possible, like Kris does. It would take a while, but in a peaceful / cooperative SOUL scenario, the relationship would ultimately be symbiotic, by the time all is said and done, and the departure of the SOUL would be bittersweet. In a negatively-influencing SOUL scenario, it would only reaffirm all of the negative things that she feels about herself (and also... most pressingly to a teen, cause her to get expelled, and likely have a horrific crashout).

Went to your day 8 post of WiJ to see what I should send on this day 16 and thought of an interesting idea to share:

Leader/Stoic whumpee who's a secret shapeshifter, forced to shift by Whumper who makes them attack their friends/loved ones, causing a distraction for Whumper to get away safe. Once they're out of range of Whumpee, though, their powers fade away and Whumpee shifts back and realizes what they've done. No one is dead, but... now they all know. And oh, what have they done? Everyone looks so scared of them now, too...

What happens next, I wonder?

Oooooooh. This one's right up my alley. I wrote a similar scenario in one of my fics before ("Samsa", for anyone curious), but this one ALWAYS gets me!! I shall tag you if I ever end up using this one (which is less a matter of "if" and much more a matter of "when"!).

Hi!! I was looking at your post from Day 8 of Whumpmas In July and I thought of this idea since it's Day 16. ☺️

So idk if you're a Marvel fan, but mind control is also one of my favorite tropes. So what if the reader is with Bucky and he's been unaffected by Hydra's code words for years. But little do both of you know, they've made new ones, or maybe they've been working on something that affects his metal arm and one day he's acting different.

He's cold, menacing, and the reader can't get ahold of anyone so they're at his mercy.

If you do end up writing this, I would love to be tagged! 🥰 No pressure though.

Ooooooh, I love this!!!! I have to rewatch the relevant Marvel films, but this idea rocks. I likely won't have a chance to do it in time for Whumpmas in July this year, but I will absolutely tag you once I get around to writing this, no matter how long it takes!! Thank you so much!
