You Kept Dreaming by Cape Lion http://bit.ly/16K90vX
At the end of February and into March, I had the opportunity to work with musician and photographer, Curtis Wiklund. He put together a multimedia musical play that told the story of David and Bathsheba and brought the production into the Video Studio at the University of Michigan. I had the opportunity to work on the audio setup and played the role of recording engineer/house tech for the show.
In the middle of March, Curtis and crew came to the recording studio to get a polished studio recording of the original music that he composed with John Katona of Dog and Panther. We spent about 3 days holed up in the studio tracking the project. I was the main tracking engineer and John and Curtis are going to take the tracks home to chop everything up, re-arrange, overdub and mix the project. I can't wait to hear what they come up with. I was especially proud of the drums. Would not have been able to run the session without the help of Lim Wei who was instrumental to the drum tracking session.
I will be posting some of the mixes from the project, once they come in.
You can check out Curtis' photography here.
I may like it a little bit too much when a chiptune release has a degree of thematic cohesion. Not that you'd hear from this one track.
