Honestly, it PISSED him off, for it was far more annoying than rabbits coming into his veggie patches. Most were grabbing them for someone they loved for FREE. . . He gets it, you wanna get something special for someone you like or love. But it shouldn’t come at the cost of his own plants. ❝ You know. . . They look a lot prettier when ya leave them alone, right ?? ❞

But I'm at least curious to see what you've GOT. ❞ Jack made an imposing door guest, a few inches taller than his robotic companion (who, for all intents and purposes, just looked like a stoic goth with a wicked neck tattoo) and in turn, quite a bit taller than whoever this guy was he’d come to visit was. His foot had already taken a slight step forward, toe of his heavy boot over the threshold and he offered a facsimile of a friendly smile, ❝ I'm JACK, by the way. This is Cammy, he doesn’t talk much, but he LOVES magic, right Cammy ? ❞ 

    ‘Cammy’ said nothing, but nodded. 

    ❝ So what do you DO ? Read fortunes ? You probably need CARDS for those, right ? I bought a deck once, but mostly just cause it was pretty. But you’ve got the REAL DEAL, don’t you ? Magic, I mean. ❞ Jack sure could be pushy when he was curious. Finding magic away from what he usually tampered with was just exciting, is all. Even with the potential danger that necessitated his chaperon.

      Miranda claps her hands together and stands up straight, a grin returning to her face. Seems that was the right answer. 

      “Excellent! I don’t feel any personal animosity towards Joy or Faith - but I’d rather not deal with the short one.” Miranda, you’re only an inch taller than her and you’re still shorter than everyone else. “That’s delightful news! I could use the assistance of one with more practical magic such as yourself -- what is accessible to me isn’t ideal in this case -- if you would be ever so kind as to lend a spell or two to a humble merprincess who also happens to be me?”

      She’s circling around him now, looking him up and down, still smiling, still with her fins perked. There’s definitely more than a few comparisons one could make to a shark circling around a doomed boat - but Miri’s tiny frame, soft pink scales, and hot pink hair kinda ruin that right now.
