After three VERY long days, Terra is back home.

When we brought her to the vet, I was certain that she wouldn’t be coming home. There are few worse places for a screw to be than where it was. I can’t put a 26yo old through a major surgery that I cannot afford and that has a poor prognosis.

Somehow, she missed her DDF tendon by millimeters, and that would have been an instant euthanasia. After the X-rays, our vet was on the phone consulting with a surgeon for nearly half an hour over it before we knew that she had a chance to survive.

Terra, the most perfect mustang to ever live, has a very long road ahead of her. As long as she keeps fighting, I will stand beside her.
