Wild Wind
(Warnings : Subtle mention of blood )
I could have let it go, saying that it was the wild wind. But the question arises - Was it really the wild wind, As dawn breaks and the sun rises?
The darkest hours pass as I hasten, To the exquisite lake I seek. But alas, my pace is shaken, As my ears hum with the windy whispers meek.
They tell me to go back, to return. But I, being me, move forward - No retracing paths or turns. I say, I am no coward.
The winds went wild at my insistence - Twigs and stones were sent hurling. I still went ahead, keeping my persistence - Bleeding hands, vision whirling.
Lo! I reached the lake, my destined goal ! The wind suddenly stood still, watching. I dipped my hands in the water, to calm my soul - Crimson flowed in, mocking.
