For Morgans birthday she had to beg us to go wild caving, and we reluctantly agreed. We were given a few cave options, and of course we chose the longest. We walked down a long hill, and found the entrance. Once we were about 50 ft in, Allen bailed on us. We climbed up and over huge rocks, ducking and weaving through tight spaces. Army crawled through the mud for a very, very long time. We saw baby bats and a black and yellow salamander. Many bad words were said.. Then we found the exits. One was covered from a mudslide and one was so tight we couldn’t fit. We sat for a bit, studied the map and decided to go back the way we came. Then we ran into Boy Scouts! We turned back around and showed them the exit. A few fit and went out, two stayed behind with us. After having a mini panic attack, water break, and another map read, we turned back and went the way we came. Our hands and knees raw from scraping and knees wobbly from exhaustion. We powered through, I complained but we made it out. Alive. The whole time, Chelsie said “oh it gets worse up here” and it did. The entire time.
