I just finished Sam's Wildemount Wildlings campaign and it was so fun!! I adored it from start to finish. I could tell Sam was nervous to DM but he did really well and I hope he does more whimsical stuff like this in the future!
All the characters were so loveable. Brennan was absolutely fantastic and hilarious as usual, and loved seeing him take on this "older sibling helping out" role with the other new players. Sam's sister Eden was amazing and a real natural, I loved how invested she was getting. Seeing Alex and Libe get more comfortable with their characters and their banter with the other players over the course of the three episodes was lovely to watch. Alex's character Kai was especially a fun one and I loved the dynamic with Brennan's character. I'm so sad Alex said no to letting Kai be adopted by Beau and Yasha but I do understand his reasoning! 😭 Maybe Sam will do a sequel later on and Alex will change his mind, haha...
Also, so great to see Marisha and Ashley back as Beau and Yasha. They were so good and I loved seeing how much fun they were having with Sam's campaign. I loved the final boss too, all the cooking puns were terrible hilarious, and it was great seeing everyone else join in on them.
All the kids in Sam's focus group were hilarious. Ronin is for sure making Laura and Travis proud, hahaha.
The theme song and intro cinematic were both so fun and adorable. This campaign truly felt like a warm hug and is also a fairly easy one to watch if you're fairly new to D&D or Critical Role. Hopefully we see more like this in the future! :)
