🍄, 🌾, 🌿 for Kerri (and a bonus 💫 for you!)

🍄 - Snacks, Comfort Food, Cooking, And More:

As far as quick snacks go, Kerri’s go-to is dried or smoked meats of any sort, be it moose, fish, alligator, giant beetle, what have you. She’s not picky. She would also accept fermented meats, but it’s harder to find someone who can do those right. Also a little less structurally sound.

If you’re trying to food approach to cheering her up, a good pot roast is a solid option, as the family really only had that during holidays (bugs and fish are Much Cheaper Fare), so it was Special.

Favorite meal to cook hasn’t come up, as Kerri hasn’t done any cooking in the campaign yet (Seamus is Better At It, so she’s content to defer to his expertise). Given the resources, time, and inclination, she’d end up grilling some meat, sauteeing copper chips (see: copper pennies; these are arguably your Dessert), and simmering some beans with A Lot Of Onion And Garlic. And maybe frying up some quick flatbread.

Kerri specifically does not enjoy baking, but otherwise does like spending time in the kitchen. Baking is too hands-off for her liking, but anything where you can start throwing things in on a whim? Fantastic.

🌾 - Rose-Tinted Glasses:

I... legitimately struggle with this, because Kerri is one of those people who makes it difficult to feel that way about her. Unless, of course, we do it in the way Kerri herself would (which is to say by Not Taking The Task Seriously)

🌿 - Nonverbal Affection

Kerri’s primary mode of dispensing parcels of emotion is Gifts, with a focus on things at least partially crafted by her. This is, mind you, typically things that are Not Planned Well In Advance; the armor she works on making for party members does not count because it is a Known Project. Making someone a nice potion holster or new quiver, on the other hand, would absolutely qualify.

Kerri has difficulty parsing affection unless it’s Super Obvious, like someone holding on to her or otherwise insisting upon being in her space (at least, more than she would have been accustomed to in the tight quarters back in Blackriver). Incidentally, hugs are not generally considered a form of expressing affection; that’s just a Proper Greeting, as far as Kerri’s concerned.

💫 - Favorite Deet???

sorry i’m bad at Labeling Favorites. But I definitely enjoy that Kerri is unapologetically Big in spite of being a caster first and foremost. And the fact that she... doesn’t really look like a bard. At all. unless she’s holding an instrument to make it Super Obvious
