I've been a nocturnal bird these past few weeks! Back to civilisation again for a week or two before heading off yet again, time to catch up and download photos. This is who I've been hanging out with - pakahā or fluttering shearwaters. They're one of the most commonly seen seabirds in the Hauraki Gulf, but most of their breeding sites have been a bit of a mystery!
