Okay okay I get the tranfem!Jax thing now (it is literally RIGHT there it's so OBVIOUS) but may I just ask:
Is there a possibility that Jax could be transmasc instead? Now hear me out-
Caine said that the body one has in the circus is based on one's mind, could it imply that Jax is actually transmasc instead?
I don't really know if a person's voice is also altered based on their mind in the circus (it's really a low possibility) but if that's the case then that would explain why Jax is constantly presenting himself as masculine because with that kind of voice and personality he doesn't want to present himself as feminine. It's like he finally got the chance to embrace his masculine side, albeit a bit stereotypically (is that normal for transmasc people? /gen)
There's also Gooseworx's own responses which kind of made me feel like that. Especially the one where she was asked about Jax being a Tumblr sexyman.
And don't get me started on him mainly picking on the girls as well, it really does feel he's trying to fit into a stereotypical masculine identity, in an almost exaggerated sense as well I guess.
Then there's his room, we all know a stereotypical little girl's room when we see it. The other theories regarding his room are incredible yes, but could this room be a reflection of Jax's real life childhood room?
By the way I don't consider myself transmasc or transfem, and I don't think I've experienced the dysphoria regarding gender expression and gender identity to even fully grasp the idea, but the speculation of Jax being transfem really got me thinking.
Initially I was super into the idea of Jax being transfem, but the possibility of him being transmasc kept bugging me. Either way, it's a win.
Also would this theory be impossible if their voices really don't change?
