Of course we can help, what are you looking for?
"Well, there's quite a f-few kinds of flowers around here, but, uh, there's one in p-particular I've b-been looking for. Green, I think, with, uh, a r-red stem? It's a rather peculiar-looking thing, but, uh, I haven't been able t-to find one. If you brought me one, perhaps I c-could lend you something?"
can I borrow. some of them.
They narrow their eyes. "Hmm. I d-don't know. Maybe if y-you can help me find something I've been l-looking for... Would you be w-willing to do that?"
do you have any. crowbars
They instantly perk up at the question. "Oh, y-yes! I do believe I h-have several. If you'd like t-to see, I can show y-you m-my collection."
eat a snowglobe
You pick up a snow globe and begin inspecting it, trying to find some way to get it open so you can sample its delicious snow globe juices. As you do so, you start rambling to them about how to pick out a ripe one. The cloaked feather-figure pauses briefly as you don't acknowledge their question, but moves on. "Well, I'm n-not so sure about much about how s-snow globes work. I just t-thought they... looked nice. And didn't h-have any yet. S-so I figured..." They trail off. "I just like having t-things."
Let's inspect the snow globes if there is anything strange about them! Ask that person why he needs so much.
As you approach the shelf, you see that the snow globes appear to be... just snow globes. Each depicts a slightly different landscape or a slightly different scene with little to no rhyme or reason. You ask the person why they're getting so many. They turn around, and you get your first good look at their face. They've got matted, black hair, and a black feather perched behind their ear. Some kind of fashion accessory? When they speak, they sound scratchy and rough, and stutter a lot. "Oh, no r-real reason. I just l-like to collect things. A-are you new?"
Ok, let's go! Make a little sightseeing! (Is there a place here where we can buy pie?)
"Great! Let's stop by the main square." You follow Fib out the door, briefly pausing in the entryway to observe the scenic town. Fib leads you to a bustling town square. There's not many people here, but the people that are here are rushing about from place to place as quickly as possible. "This is where most of the business happens! There's a couple noteworthy buildings. Over there..." He gestures towards an imposing, fanciful building at the head of the square. "...is the mayor's office! I work there! The mayor is quite nice, though they're out of town right now. And, you asked about food, right?" Without waiting for a response, Fib enthusiastically rushes towards one of the smaller buildings. You follow him inside. This looks like a somewhat standard supermarket. You say that because that's what it said on the sign out front - Somewhat Standard Supermarket. Inside, shoppers go from aisle to aisle picking up various goods. A man in a red suit with thick, round glasses peruses notebooks. A dark, hooded figure is scooping snow globes off of a shelf by the armful. A tired-looking girl sits at the cash register and side-eyes the snow glove collector, as if she's dreading that they'll drop one. A kid with green-dyed hair plays with the toys in the toy aisle, as kids with no money tend to do in stores with toys. The store shelves bear all kinds of knick-knacks and utilities, from hamburgers to hedge trimmers and everything in between. "Welcome to our humble supermarket. Anything you could ever look to buy, you'll find here! Feel free to take a look around. And feel free to chat around, too! Best way to make friends!" Fib seems a bit out of breath. They've been talking rather quickly. You get the impression they don't get to show people around often, but that they've practiced doing so quite a bit. They look to you after their semi-rant as if anxiously waiting to see what you think.
