in the last selfie I posted I have black mascara on my top lashes with a heavier application on the outer lashes, and a burgundy eyeliner because I feel black is too harsh on my face. I have also pencil my brows in softer and flatter than they naturally are because they are naturally INVISIBLE and blonde. In that picture I have no foundation on my face other than my jawline, but I do have blush, which is the same as what I use for my lipstick (rum raisin). I usually place my blush very high next to the outer corners of my eyes and across my nose. I usually line my lips in brown following the natural lip line, heavier in the corners but it’s faded by that picture (I applied my makeup 12 hours ago)
When I do apply foundation it is semi sheer, applied with a brush only to my neck and middle face! I avoid my eye bags because I can’t cover them and there’s no point in trying. I set with a very VERY light tap of translucent compact powder and set with hydrating setting spray! If I feel really like it I use a thick consistency concealer over my eye bags after hydrating the skin so it doesn’t crack, but I am happier in my skin than I used to be and don’t do this a often any more.
If I do use eyeshadow I like taupe in the hollows of my eyes, or a burnt orange under my lashes because I like the way it looks with my eyes :) i like to have a shade lighter than my skin on my corners and the whole of my lid too if im feeling like putting in effort
I consider most of my makeup part of my skincare because that’s the thing I do the most of in the morning! I find that if I follow my routine I don’t want to do to much other than the bits I enjoy (blush, eye makeup, lip liner).
